EEG neurofeedback is also referred to as EEG biofeedback therapy. It is a treatment that involves training the brainwave activity, so as to manage many different conditions. This approach involves training with neurofeedback equipment; no drugs involved. It is one of the most holistic approaches, with few side effects. The treatment was established more than 40 years ago, its popularity has grown in the last few years. It was initially developed in university laboratories, but later on it has spread to clinics, and individual health practitioners. This has become a treatment of choice, for many serious conditions.
EEG neurofeedback has many benefits. Firstly it is important in improving a person's cognitive skills. Secondly, it is important in reducing impulsivity.
